How NYCD-Design's White-Label Product Design Service Works

Under a white-label product design partnership, NYCD-Design becomes an extension of your own R&D department. That means we can:

1. Handle technical communication directly with factories, supply chain vendors, and third-party hardware developers on your behalf.

2. Manage prototyping and DFM (design for manufacturability), along with engineering iterations, under your team's or company's identity.

3. Deliver work products — renderings, CAD files, engineering drawings, reports, and more — formatted to fit seamlessly into your own branding, standards, and documentation.

4. Stay behind the scenes throughout the client-facing process, so you retain full ownership of the primary client relationship.

The only thing we need from you is a signed authorization for NYCD-Design to act on your behalf, plus a clear set of R&D guidelines, covering things like product requirements, target specifications, and brand or quality standards, among other constraints.

Once we have that, we can operate largely independently and check in at whatever cadence works best for you.
